Avenue Verte

What a great idea,  a dedicated cycleway linking London's Millennium Eye with Paris's Eiffel Tower.

The first 40 miles from Dieppe is a dedicated cycleway using an old train line,  which means two things.

Blissfully flat and car free roads and excellent views.

One thing you do get though is lots of stuff to read whilst you cycle.

Remember that thing you did at school, when your teacher would hand you an orange and say you are the sun?
And then place your class mates with smaller objects at various distances to illustrate the scale distance and size of the planets. (I was always Pluto and given a piece of gravel and told to walk 3 miles away, I still haven't forgiven you Mr. Wells).

Anyway,  the Avenue Verte has one of those and you cycle past a massive sun, 2 miles later Mercury,  then a little later a few other planets, a very cute small looking earth. On and on all the way to Pluto.

Ahhh, lovely.
