Warming up for Paris.

Some of you may already know that the height difference between the bottom and the top of Ditchling Beacon is a not unimpressive 438ft.

So it's with that in mind that helped contribute to my shock when I discovered that my warmup ride on Sunday called 'The Haywards Heath Howler' was a massive 7,500 ft of climbing in total.

That's the equivalent of climbing the Beacon over 17 times, whilst enjoying the scenery of 96 miles of Sussex countryside.

Wish me luck, the most I've ever cycled in a day was 68 miles on pretty much flat roads.

Eek.
